ROBERT DELESKIE
WRITER/STORYÂ EDITOR/DIRECTOR
My passion is storytelling. No matter the medium, I love to tell stories that move people in fresh, original and surprising ways.

My most recent work has been as a writer, story-editor and director on Season 5 of Sphere's Haunted Hospitals. It's a spooky, fun and pulpy series of chilling and thrilling real-life encounters with the horrifying and unexplainable. Previous to that, I had the opportunity to work on Season 4 of Haunted Hospitals as well as Sphere's Paranormal Nightshift, also as a writer, director and story-editor. Other recent work includes story-editing duties on docu-crime series including Cineflix's Hours to Kill and Efran Film's (Re)Solved.
I have over a decade of experience directing TV commercials, brand images spots and promos for clients including Bayer, Hasbro, General Mills, Kraft, Proctor & Gamble, Parmalat, Shoppers Drug Mart, Dove, WINNERS, Rogers, Corus Entertainment and PBS Sprout Network.
I've written and directed six award-winning short films that have been broadcast internationally and played at festivals around the world. My most recent is the horror short LAY THEM STRAIGHT which won 25 awards and played at over 120 festivals, including top genre festivals like Sitges, Screamfest LA and the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. My other shorts have played at the Toronto International Film Festival, Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival, Palm Springs Short Film Festival, Austin International Film Festival, and many others. I wrote and directed A DAY AT THE OFFICE, an original half-hour film created for the Canadian Broadcast Corporation and Bravo, in collaboration with the modern dance company CORPUS.
I'm also an author of short horror fiction and published board game designer.
I went to school at York University (Film Production Program), as well as Concordia University’s Graduate Program in Communication, and am an alumnus of the Toronto International Film Festival’s Talent Lab and Screenwriting Mentorship Program.
